Summer Building Construction Projects

Lodermeiers · July 1, 2021 ·

Lodermeier’s is constructing a new steel building for MN Ag Group in Northfield.  These pictures show the start of the foundation in early June, the steel building arriving on the trucks in June, the steel being put up, and finally the steel frame almost completely installed.

A new 50’x 60’x16′ post frame Horse Barn is being built for Gordon and Jan Hansmeier of Red Wing

The Pearson dairy farm near Red Wing, MN is adding a new 44’x104’x14’ post frame calf barn to their farm.  The pictures show the concrete foundation and floor installation which completes the beginning phases of the calf barn.

A pole shed on the Tatge Farm in Faribault was transformed.  The pole shed was originally built in the early 80’s and Lodermeier’s recently resided and reroofed the building.

25 Years Of Service For Hermann

Lodermeiers · June 30, 2021 ·

June marked 25 years of employment for Bari Hermann, who greets you at the parts counter and often on the phone. Bari’s first few years at Lodermeier’s included a couple of different positions as a mechanic and setting up machinery; however, for about the last 20 years he has been working in the parts department. Thank you to Bari for his dedicated service at Lodermeier’s!

Hoop Barn at Holmstadt’s

Lodermeiers · June 9, 2021 ·

Near Lake City, a new 30’ x 90’ hoop barn from Rushmore Buildings was added to the Holmstadt farm.  Lodermeier’s building construction crew recently completed the hoop barn for Pete Holmstadt.  The Homstadt’s will be using the new barn for round bale storage.

Rosenquist’s Hay Crop

Lodermeiers · June 7, 2021 ·

This Massey Ferguson 1840 small square baler on the Bob Rosenquist farm has been put to good use these past few days.  The exclusive in-line baler design makes every small bale produced easier to handle, stack and feed.  The Rosenquist’s MF 5470 tractor and their Mustang 2700V skid steer are helping to get this first crop harvested for the season.  Hay is an essential component for any farm but weather can sometimes make growing, harvesting, and baling hay a challenge.  All of the hot and dry weather we have been having has been great timing for our farmers to be harvesting their hay fields!

Feed Mill Update

Lodermeiers · June 4, 2021 ·

Lodermeier’s completed the installation of the steel beam base for the feed mill update at Ag Partner’s this week.  The base of the structure is manufactured by Lowry Mfg. and will hold new loadout bins for the feed mill.

The update at Ag Partner’s will allow the new system to drop multiple tons of product at a time.  Lodermeier’s grain equipment team is heading the project and completing the installation for all the components and products.

The feed mill update will include a new two-ton scale hopper from Lowry Mfg. with a walk around mezzanine on top of the hopper and an 18” air gate on the bottom of the hopper.  The update will also include nine screw augers from Lowry Mfg. with the augers being 10 inches in size.

Tote bag hoppers will be a component of the feed mill.  There will be six tote bag systems from Easy Automation and six 350 TPH screw augers with 5hp motors and gearbox drives.  Inlet hoppers from the tote bags to the augers will be installed.

A 14” round bottom drag conveyor from Schlagel will be installed to transfer drag to the mixer.

You can see the load out/ingredient hopper bins waiting to be installed in these pictures.  The rectangular design of these bins allows them to be placed side by side.  These welded steel bins are customized to hold and unload premixed feed products for Ag Partner’s.  The hopper bottom allows for efficient load-out of bin access.

Check back soon to see these load out bins placed on top of the new steel beam base.
